Man killed after machete attack at restaurant
COLUMBUS
Police shot and killed a man who they said attacked several people with a machete at a central Ohio restaurant.
Police said the man walked into a Mediterranean restaurant in Columbus on Thursday evening and attacked several people.
Authorities have not said how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries.
It’s unclear what sparked the reported attacks. The investigation is ongoing.

The National Retail Federation recently released its 2016 economic forecast, projecting retail industry sales (which exclude automobiles, gas stations and restaurants) will grow 3.1 percent, higher than the 10-year average of 2.7 percent. NRF also expects nonstore sales in 2016 to grow between 6 percent and 9 percent.
Paladin, Mr. Beer to unveil new ale

Today, Paladin Brewing and Mr. Beer, a home brewing company that offers starter kits to advanced home-brewing systems, will unveil the Sir Kenneth Blonde Ale collaboration – a crisp, clean, American blonde ale with a rich malt and spicy hop character.
The event, from 6 to 8 p.m., will be at Paladin Brewing Tavern, 6520 Mahoning Ave.
Profits from all Sir Kenneth collaboration sales starting Saturday – $29.99 at www.mrbeer.com – and a $1/pint donation for event beer sales will go to offset Paladin owner John Chandler’s medical costs.
Chandler fought an aggressive sinus cancer with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation while building his business.
TMK IPSCO files layoff alert
BROOKFIELD
TMK IPSCO, 6880 Parkway Drive, recently filed its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, WARN, with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to alert the department of a mass layoff.
A total of 106 employees will be affected by the layoff that is expected to occur from April 4-17, according to the WARN notice.
The plant employs 106 workers.
TMK IPSCO, one of the largest North American producers of welded and seamless pipe and premium connections, laid off 20 at the plant last year.
