Winter art market at B&O Station
YOUNGSTOWN
Artists of the Rust Belt’s annual Winter Market take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at B&O Station, 520 Mahoning Ave. The event will include 35 of the region’s best artists offering unique works of jewelry, photography, pottery, paintings and other art forms.
Food vendors will include Aunt Sadies Kitchen (wedding soup, pepperoni and spinach breads), Dana’s Fudge and Candy, YA-YA’S Yummies (baked goods) and the Alternative food truck. Rust Belt beer will be on tap.
Organ concert at St. John’s

Richard Konzen, organist and director of music at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will present an organ recital at 3 p.m. Sunday as the monthly program for the Youngstown Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Konzen is professor of music and college organist at Grove City College, where he has been on the faculty since 1992. He also serves as facilities director of Pew Fine Arts Center at GCC. The program will include works of Reger, Mendelssohn, Jongen, Alain and Durufle.
‘Flashdance’ coming to E.J. Thomas Hall

The national tour of “Flashdance, the Musical” will come to the University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall at 7:30 p.m. March 8 and 9. Julia Macchio, daughter of “Karate Kid” actor Ralph Macchio, stars in the lead role of Alex Owens.
