Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will host a sit-down or takeout Ash Wednesday fish fry from noon to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Meal includes fried cod, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, bread and butter, and dessert. Beverage is included with sit-down only. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10.

THURSDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a chicken teriyaki drive-through dinner from 2:30 p.m. until sold out. The meal also includes Hawaiian rice, Asian slaw and a fortune cookie, and there is a children’s menu of hot dog and macaroni and cheese. Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Credit cards are accepted.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have its monthly drive-through stuffed chicken breast dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The dinner includes potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie for $7 per dinner. Drive up to the door, and someone will take the dinners to your car. Call 330-549-2588 to reserve your dinners. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and approximate time you will arrive. A percentage of the profits is used for local mission projects.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, is preparing and selling stuffed chicken breast dinners at a drive-through from 3 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Sales take place the second Thursday of each month. The cost is $7 each, and dinners include mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and a brownie. To reserve dinners on the day of the sale call 330-792-5889. Leave your name, phone number, the number of dinners you want and the approximate time you will pick them up. You don’t have to get out of the car; just drive to the back of the church and your dinner will be brought to you. Dinners also are available without reservations.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. sponsored by the auxiliary. Prices are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve a fish fry each Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. through March 25. Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 North Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will serve fish dinners each Friday of Lent, excluding Good Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m. Meal comprises baked or fried fish or 21 shrimp and haluski, homemade soup, coleslaw, bread and butter, dessert and beverage. Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. First Presbyterian Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge, will host fish dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. during Lent. Meal includes fried or baked haddock, green beans, french fries or haluski or macaroni and cheese (options vary by week). Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under.

Girard K. of C. Council 2935 will host weekly Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the K. of C. Hall, 122 S. State St. Cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12 free for those 3 and under. Menu comprises baked or fried fish; fries, macaroni and cheese or haluski; and coleslaw, bread, coffee and cake. Pop and water are 50 cents. Carryout is available. Call 330-545-3432.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for freshly made each week potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will offer Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday through March 18. Menu includes fried or baked haddock or shrimp, coleslaw, dessert, bread and butter, beverages and a choice of two sides. There also is a complimentary pasta and pizza table with the purchase of a dinner. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. St. Brendan Parish, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve sit-down or takeout fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in Maxwell Hall. There will be a choice of beer batter, fried, baked or cajun-style fish with a choice of haluski, french fries, macaroni and cheese or parsley potatoes; coleslaw or applesauce; and bread and butter, cake and coffee. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a sandwich and side for $6 or an entire dinner for $10. Menu includes baked or fried haddock with a choice of side from pirogi, haluski, macaroni and cheese, fries or ravioli, or Italian haddock with a choice of pasta or ravioli. Each meal also will include a choice of coleslaw or applesauce, bread and butter, drink and dessert. Adult dinners are $9, and meals for children are $7. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will offer a Lenten fish dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeout meals will be available starting at 3 p.m. The meals will include breaded or fried white fish, parsley potatoes, pirogi, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, beverage and dessert. A baked or fried fish sandwich with one side is $9, baked or fried fish dinner with two sides is $10, a shrimp basket with two sides is $10, and a child’s dinner with one side is $5.
