“PARTY FAVORITES” BY ANGELS OF EASTER SEALS

Make Ahead Breakfast Casserole

21/2cups seasoned croutons

1pound bulk sausage

4eggs

21/2cups milk

1can cream of mushroom soup

1package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

14 ounce can mushrooms, drained and chopped OR 8 ounces sauteed fresh mushrooms

1cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1/4teaspoon dry mustard

picante sauce or salsa, if desired

Spread croutons on bottom of greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Spread over croutons. Whisk eggs and milk in a large bowl until blended. Stir in soup, spinach, mushrooms, cheese and mustard. Pour egg mixture over sausage and refrigerate overnight. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes or until set and lightly browned on top. Serve with salsa, if desired.

Cheese Danish

2packages dairy case crescent rolls

16ounces cream cheese, softened

11/2cups sugar, divided

1teaspoon vanilla

1/4cup melted butter

1teaspoon cinnamon

Pat one package of crescent rolls in 9-by-13-inch pan. Mix softened cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread over crust. Roll out second crescent roll package and place over cream cheese, sealing perforations. Pour melted butter over top. Combine 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into squares. Yields 24 pieces.
