Ohioan accused of fatally shooting his 2 siblings charged

HINCKLEY, Ohio (AP) — A northeastern Ohio man accused of shooting his brother and sister to death at a home they all shared has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder.

Court documents show that Dean Simms has been charged in the shooting deaths of 52-year-old Cindy Gesaman and 45-year-old Randy Szychowicz. A Medina County judge on Monday set bond for Simms at $10 million.

A message left today for Simms’ attorney wasn’t immediately returned.

Police say the three lived together at their Hinckley Township home, about 18 miles south of Cleveland.

Cleveland.com reports the 42-year-old Simms can be heard in a 911 call saying he’s “out two siblings” and that it was “not a pretty sight.”

The Medina County Coroner’s Office says Gesaman and Szychowicz died of gunshot wounds to their heads.
