A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty, Girard and Austintown:
HUBBARD
Jan. 27
Menacing: Officers charged Conrado Martinez-Munoz of West Park Avenue, Hubbard, with menacing and making a false alarm after a neighbor alleged the 66-year-old man has continually threatened the accuser and called police with false allegations about her.
Jan. 29
Assault: Patrick M. Pettola, 21, of West Liberty Street, Hubbard, faced a simple-assault charge after a caseworker with a Warren counseling center alleged Pettola had shoved him out the door during an argument.
Theft: A Youngstown woman at a West Liberty Street pharmacy discovered someone without authorization had filled a prescription she intended to have refilled.
Jan. 30
Citation: While responding to a vehicular accident on North Main Street, authorities cited 38-year-old James F. Gettings III of Elm Street, Struthers, on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to control a motor vehicle. Witnesses reported a small school bus had struck and damaged a utility pole before the driver left, a report showed.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Main Moon Chinese Restaurant, 607 W. Liberty St., via the front door. An undisclosed sum of money was removed.
Feb. 1
Summons: While responding to a disturbance at a North Main Street firearms business, police issued a summons charging 30-year-old Andrew T. Silsbe of North Main Street, Hubbard, with disorderly conduct. An employee who said he has ongoing problems with Silsbe alleged Silsbe had spit on the store’s front window.
Feb. 2
Citation: Police handed a minor-misdemeanor citation to Roger A. Smith, 52, of Hubbard after saying that an inspection of his Wendemere Drive property, based on a complaint, showed he had a disassembled lawn mower and pickup truck, various auto parts strewn about and other visible pieces of junk.
LIBERTY
Jan. 29
Arrest: Boardman police handed 46-year-old Edoria Franklin to township authorities. Franklin, of West Earle Avenue, Youngstown, was wanted on a probation-violation charge.
Pursuit: A motorist led police on a brief chase after reportedly refusing to pull over on Belmont Avenue for having an expired vehicle registration.
Arrest: Police responded to a car that had driven over an embankment near Belmont Avenue before charging 68-year-old Catherine W. Powers of Selma Avenue, Youngstown, with operating a vehicle impaired.
Jan. 30
Theft: A man discovered a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun missing from his Will-o-Wood Drive home.
Domestic violence: Robert A. Beck, 33, of Beverly Hills Drive, Liberty, was charged with the crime after a family member alleged Beck had head-butted him, causing the accuser to fall into a cabinet, during an argument about money.
Jan. 31
Drugs: A traffic stop near Holly Drive resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old Kevin L. Johnson of Holly Drive, Liberty, on felony charges of trafficking in crack cocaine and heroin when, police alleged, five individually wrapped bags of suspected crack cocaine and a small quantity of suspected heroin were found. Johnson also was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Arrest: Police exchanged custody of 28-year-old Deon L. Elliott with Boardman authorities. Elliott, of Glenwood Avenue, Boardman, was wanted on a probation-violation charge related to one count of domestic violence.
Feb. 1
Auto theft: A 2001 Chevrolet Prism was stolen in the 2900 block of Oakland Drive.
Feb. 2
Arrest: After responding to a complaint of suspicious activity at a Belmont Avenue motel, officers took into custody 34-year-old Keith M. Monroe of Bedford, Ohio, who was wanted on a Portage County warrant charging him with trafficking in drugs.
Theft: A Trumbull Court woman reported a 27-year-old man took her car key without permission.
Theft: A Catherine Street woman learned that someone without authorization had used her debit/credit card to make a $134 withdrawal from her account, then made several transactions in Vienna.
Feb. 3
Domestic violence: A 13-year-old Girard boy was charged after a family member alleged that during an argument about discipline matters, the teen kicked her leg and pushed her several times with his chest.
GIRARD
Jan. 27
Harassment: A Girard woman said she’s received such text messages.
Possible assault: Police answered a disturbance call in the 10 block of West Wilson Avenue, where a man said he had been assaulted during an argument.
Jan. 28
Breaking and entering: Someone entered a building in the 1200 block of South State Street and took a laptop computer, 12 feet of copper piping and other items, for an estimated $1,200 loss.
Jan. 29
Domestic violence: Michael C. Lecroy of East Main Street, Girard, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Lecroy had struck her face, punched the accuser’s arm and kicked her in the hip area during an argument.
Jan. 30
Arrest: Officers arrested Jennifer L. Black of Church Hill Road, Girard, as she filed a theft report. Black was wanted on a felony warrant from Mahoning County charging failure to appear in court.
Jan. 31
Domestic violence: Jermaine L. Kohar, 36, of Morris Avenue, Girard, was charged after his girlfriend alleged Kohar had pushed her around during a confrontation.
Theft: A stop sign was stolen near Gary and Stull avenues.
Feb. 1
Burglary: To a residence in the 600 block of Trumbull Avenue through the front door. Nothing appeared to be missing, though the door was damaged.
Feb. 2
Identity fraud: A South Randolph Street man said he received a $57 cellphone bill pertaining to a number that was not his.
Recovered property: A woman walking on Church Hill Road reported having found in a mailbox an Ohio driver’s license.
AUSTINTOWN
Jan. 25
Drug offense: Police arrested Thomas Blake, 50, of Milton Newton Road, Newton Falls, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Lost or stolen plate: An Ohio trailer plate was lost or stolen in the 3000 block of Riblett Road.
Assault: A male with a handgun struck the victim in the face on Silica Road and Ohltown Road.
Menacing: Menacing was reported at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Police arrested Ricardo Wallace, 57, of Northview Boulevard, Youngstown, on a theft charge. Police accused him of taking $51 worth of chocolate candy bars from Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A television was stolen from a home in the 300 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
Warrant: Police arrested Shae Fetty, 36, of state Route 225, Diamond, on a warrant for theft of $13.56 in T-shirts from Walmart.
Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Jasmin Pleasant, 23, of Idaho Road, Sharon, Pa., on a charge of disorderly conduct at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 26
Theft: A women’s diamond and gold wedding ring set was stolen from a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Breaking and entering: Police arrested Brandon Grove, 29, of West Harvey Street, Struthers, on a charge of breaking and entering a home in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road. Police accused him of taking a toolbox with numerous tools, but he was apprehended by neighbors, who held him down on the ground until police arrived.
Theft: A trailer was broken into and equipment taken from Highway Tabernacle, 3000 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Reck Beck, 39, of Perry Street, Struthers, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jan. 27
Burglary: A PlayStation, games, controllers, cellphone and money were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Main Street.
Theft: Suboxone strips and a cellphone were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 200 block of Carnegie Avenue.
Jan. 28
Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to Alexander Thomas, 22, of Oakwood Avenue, on a charge of disorderly conduct at Sheetz, 640 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Bad check: A truck was purchased on a closed account for $6,470 at Newport Auto,1665 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Police arrested Stephanie Sarigianopoulos, 38, of DeHoff Drive, on a charge of theft after she was accused of taking merchandise from Marc’s.
Assault: Police arrested Mark Yaslik, 63, of Westminster Drive on an assault charge.
Criminal damaging: Criminal damaging was reported at Westminster House, 69 Westminster Ave.
Jan. 29
Receiving stolen property: Two stolen checks were cashed at Check into Cash, 4774 Mahoning Ave.
Vehicle theft: A 2012 black Jeep Liberty with New York plates was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.
Theft: An American School Employees Credit Union debit card was stolen at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges to a Bank of America account were made to a person who lives at a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.
Drug offense: Police arrested Stevie Penwell, 23, of Elberen Street, Youngstown, on charges of tampering with evidence in a drug-overdose case at a home in the 3000 block of South Meridian Road.
Disorderly conduct: Police arrested Kevin Anderson, 44, homeless, on a disorderly-conduct charge.
Jan. 30
Aggravated assault: A woman was threatened and assaulted at California Palms, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: Unauthorized charges were reported on a credit or debit card of a person who lives at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Warrant: Police arrested Gary Peck, 22, of Nantucket Boulevard on a warrant for receiving stolen property.
Jan. 31
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Court, 777 Hollywood Drive.
Breaking and entering: Entry was made through a garage door glass panel and a cash register was taken and cash missing at Alexander’s Diagnostics, 4754 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: An iPhone was stolen from a home in the 200 block of South Beverly Avenue.
Theft: Unauthorized charges were made on a credit or debit card of a person who lives at a home in the 4000 block of Alderwood Drive.
