Airline under the same ownership as Aerodynamics Inc. files for bankruptcy

YOUNGSTOWN

Oregon-based SeaPort Airlines has filed for bankruptcy.

The company is under the same ownership as Aerodynamics Inc., the airline that was recently approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation to provide daily service between Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.

SeaPort, owned by John and Janet Beardsley, reported creditors of 200 to 999, estimated assets of $1 million to $10 million and liabilities of $1 million to $10 million.

The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 5 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon.

The DOT approved Aerodynamics’ application to offer the daily service in Youngstown in late January after a review process that lasted 19 months.
