Moriartys mark 50th anniversary at luncheon

A lunch at Charlie Staples Bar-B-Que in Youngstown took place Feb. 5 in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Francis T. Moriarty on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.

Hosts for the event were the couple’s daughters, Kelly (James) Petrella of Youngstown and Megan (Tom) Jun of California. The couple are also the parents of Christopher (Michelle) Moriarty of Howland. Three grandsons, James Petrella and Mickey and Max Moriarty, complete their family.

Mr. Moriarty and the former Kathleen L. Quinn were married Feb. 5, 1966, at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.

Mrs. Moriarty retired in 2001 from her work as a health care receptionist in Youngstown and Columbus.

Her husband is a semi-retired funeral director with Becker Funeral Homes Inc. in Struthers. He also served in the Army National Guard.

The couple are members of St. Luke Church in Boardman.
