Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road, will host an evening with the Easter Bunny from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 8 and 9.

Tickets will go on sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Monday at the park office, or by calling 330-726-8105 to pay by credit card, or online at www.boardmanpark.com. The cost is $7 for Boardman residents and $9 for nonresidents. Children age 2 and under are free. The event includes dinner, arts and crafts and a family photo with the Easter Bunny. Thiel fundraising exceeds goal

GREENVILLE, Pa.

Thiel College surpassed the largest fundraising goal in its history Saturday. The Thiel 2016 Campaign exceeded its goal by raising $61 million. The campaign will continue through December 2016.

Thiel College President Troy D. VanAken, Ph.D., announced the news to the board of trustees, board of associates and alumni association board of directors at a luncheon Saturday. The announcement came two days after the kickoff of the college’s sesquicentennial celebration.

Program planned on winter birds

MERCER, PA.

Mercer County Conservation District will teach guests about winter birds that call Pennsylvania home from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at Munnell Run Farm, 753 Greenville Road. Photos of each bird and recordings of their calls will be shared, as well as information about seeds and the birds that prefer them. Registration is required by Feb. 18 by calling 724-662-2242. Cost is $5 per person, or $20 for families of five or more.
