Alliance plans brunch, fashion show

The Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance will sponsor its 12th annual Champagne Brunch/Fashion Show on March 3 at the Maronite Center, 1555 S. Meridian Road. All proceeds from the event will benefit Mahoning Valley Children’s Charities.
A social and raffle will begin the event at 10 a.m. with a champagne brunch to follow that will include Lenten selections. The style show will follow presented by Lilly Pulitzer of Legacy Village. It will feature Alliance members, children and friends as models with hair and makeup done by Macy’s of Southern Park Mall. Music will be by Leann Binder/Songmill Studio, and there will be a boutique sale by Lilly Pulitzer with a portion of the proceeds going to the charities.
Cost for the event is $30 per person or $40 for grand patrons. Reservations for tickets should be made by Feb. 18 by calling the Mahoning Valley Medical Society at 330-533-4880. Alliance members also are selling tickets for a grand raffle prize that includes two tickets to see Carrie Underwood with dinner, Fairchild Baldwin necklace from Ivory & Birch, a Mariana jewelry set from Aebischer’s Jewelry and an Isabelle bed bench. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Winner need not be present.
Co-chairwomen for the benefit are Diana McDonald and Carol Sankovic, and serving on the committee are Katie Altenhof, Tracy Butler, Cassi Calderon, Jenna Cicchillo, Gloria Detesco, Theresa Devine, Shelley Duffett, Tammy Engle, Karyn Frederick, Anita Gestosani, Donna Hayat, Paula Jakubek, Rachel Mullis, Jill Neidig, Tricia Potesta, Phyllis Ricchiuti, Elizabeth Roller, Heather Vitvitsky, Barb Vrable and Susan Yarab.
The Alliance is a volunteer organization of physician’s spouses who provide support to the community through health education, legislation, community service and fundraising.
