”Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Joseph Lyons, director of the Senior Youth Mentorship Program at Youngstown State University, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the program. Next, renowned artist James Pernotto will discuss his new exhibit, “Merkaba,” at the Butler Institute of American Art.

DePaul, JD Eicher to play at gallery

YOUNGSTOWN

M Gallery, in the Erie Terminal Place building, 112 W. Commerce St., downtown, will present an acoustic evening with Jordan DePaul, and JD Eicher on Thursday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $10.

DePaul, based in Nashville, Tenn., and Eicher, based in Pittsburgh, are both Youngstown natives. DePaul has an Americana and alt-country sound and is touring to promote his new album, “Forces.”

The event will include a cash bar that will benefit The Legal Creative.
