Sharpsville boy will be in Super Bowl commercial

Staff report

SHARPSVILLE, PA.

Camren Klenke of Transfer, Pa., will be part of a television commercial that will air during the Super Bowl on Sunday. The ad marks the 50th anniversary of the National Football League’s championship game.

Camren, 12, the only child of Dawnielle Klenke and Jeremy Asafaylo, and a sixth-grader at Sharpsville Middle School, will be part of a group of dozens of children in the commercial.

The commercial is slated to run during the fourth quarter of the game, which will be on CBS, but that is subject to change. It was filmed in New York and San Francisco, said Janet Kuban, Camren’s grandmother.

It’s Camren’s first nationally televised commercial, but it’s a big one because the Super Bowl is watched by millions of people around the world.

In the ad, Camren is part of a choir and will be wearing the colors of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, topped off by a backward-facing baseball cap. He will be in the second row from the bottom, third from the right, said Kuban.

There are six other NFL teams represented in the choir.

Camren graduated from the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Pittsburgh in 2011. Kuban said he has done work in television, film, print, voice-overs, runway modeling and theater. He is represented by the FunnyFace Today agency in New York.

At Sharpsville Middle School, he plays football and wrestles. Camren also enjoys skateboarding, riding his bike and singing. He has had vocal training in New York and has taken voice lessons at Mark’s Music in Hermitage, Pa.

“Camren loves being in front of the camera,” his grandmother said. “He wants to attend NYU to study film.”
