NORTH JACKSON

The wedding of Heather R. Martin and Troy J. Balint took place at 2:30 p.m. May 23, 2015, at First Federated Church of North Jackson.

The Rev. Steve Spurlock of First Baptist Church of Newton Falls solemnized the ceremony for the daughter of Kevin and Maureen Martin and son of Troy and Pam Balint, all of Newton Falls.

A reception followed at the Avalon Inn and Resort in Warren, and the couple departed for a honeymoon to Jamaica.

The bride chose a fitted gown of beaded lace and tulle designed with a sweetheart neckline. It featured crystal and satin buttons and a dropped waist. The skirt extended to a chapel-length train.

The bride’s sister, Caitlin Martin, was maid of honor. She wore a petal-pink gown as did the bridesmaids, Megan Lippe and Brooke Bobbey, the bride’s cousins; Tristan Balint, the groom’s sister; Trissa Menendez; Sarah Neiss; Amber Graham; and Shaylyn Bennett.

Aaron Spahlinger performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Chad Rankin, Dan Rankin, Frankie Dillon, Andrew Grunder, Michael Staunton, Ricky Cahalin and Aaron Kendall.

Mrs. Balint earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and a doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She is completing her medical residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Va.

A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education, Mr. Balint teaches fifth-grade math at Austintown Intermediate School.

The couple plan to live in Northeast Ohio.
