Orchestra to perform Disney film songs

YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra will capture the magic of classic Disney songs at its concert Saturday night.
Titled “Disney in Concert: Tales as Old as Time,” the performance will start at 8 p.m. at Powers Auditorium, 260 W. Federal St., led by conductor Randall Craig Fleischer and featuring the Disney in Concert Singers.
Tickets are $20 ($10 for children and students) and are available at the box office, by phone at 330-744-0264 and online at youngstownsymphony.com.
“Disney in Concert” will feature music and movie clips from “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Frozen,” among others. The orchestra will be accompanied by vocalists Deidre Donovan, Stephanie Barkett Gerson, John De Lisa and Nathan Andrew Riley – the Disney in Concert Singers.
Donovan has appeared in the “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” and has traveled with the USO Show Troupe.
Gerson’s credits also include the USO Show Troupe.
De Lisa has performed with Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival.
Riley can be seen at Disney’s California Adventure in “Aladdin: The Musical Spectacular.”
