Boardman police stepping up patrols on Super Bowl Sunday
BOARDMAN — The Boardman Police Department will be supplementing its regular patrols with high-visibility enforcement patrols Sunday, the day of the Super Bowl.
Officers will be targeting all violators for aggressive driving offenses, distracted driving, operating a vehicle while impaired, and seat-belt usage.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration encourages people to make plans ahead of time that will prevent them from getting behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking.
The funding for the additional patrols is provided by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Ohio Traffic Safety office, and a federal traffic safety grant from the NHTSA.
