Jan. 14

Arrest: A vehicle check on East Midlothian Boulevard led to the arrest of 51-year-old Robin L. Betts Jr., who listed addresses on Dryden Avenue in Youngstown and Penhale Avenue in Campbell. He was wanted on a bench warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Theft: Kenadee O. Pezzano, 20, of Miller Road, Lisbon, was charged with stealing about $108 worth of women’s undergarments from Dillard’s in Southern Park Mall.

Drug paraphernalia: After having been pulled over on South Avenue, Amber N. Dalrymple of Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police alleged the 25-year-old Dalrymple had three straws and a compact mirror with a white residue.

Arrest: Authorities arrested Elaina N. Roberts of Fifth Avenue, Struthers, on an assault warrant after a woman reported last month having been struck in the head and face while at a Southern Park Mall restaurant.

Domestic violence: Sohail M. Awan, 29, of Claybourne Avenue, Boardman, was taken into custody in Youngstown and charged after a Sept. 7, 2015, situation in which his wife alleged Awan grabbed her hair, threw the accuser to the ground and struck her neck and face with a shoe during an argument.

Theft: Authorities picked up 20-year-old Brittany W. Black, who was at Boardman Area Court on Market Street. Black, of Woodcrest Avenue, Youngstown, was accused of having stolen a $74.50 sweatshirt top last month from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A Boardman-Canfield Road woman discovered about $7,150 worth of jewelry missing from a bedroom.

Threats: A West Boulevard man told officers a business owner with whom he had dealings made a series of threats against him.

Theft: The owner of a Market Street eatery reported a .25-caliber firearm missing.

Identity theft: A Forest Hill Drive man found out someone had bought two cellphones and, without the accuser’s consent, added the cost to his account.

Counterfeit: A man reportedly passed three phony $50 bills at Family Dollar, 4030 Market St., over a three-day period.

Domestic violence: Officers took custody of 34-year-old R.J. Scott of Meadowbrook Avenue, Boardman, who faced two counts of domestic violence. Scott’s girlfriend alleged he had assaulted her teenage daughter, then head-butted her several times after she confronted Scott when he injured her dog, a report showed.

Theft: Ronique K. Requel, 19, of West Ferndale Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with stealing an $80 BB revolver from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Arrest: While conducting a welfare check in the 100 block of Indianola Road, officers took into custody Telisha L. Stanford, 34, of Indianola, Boardman, who was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Counterfeit: A man in his 30s reportedly used a fake $100 bill to buy a gift card at Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 7322 Market St.

Theft: A man in his 60s reportedly stole three strip steaks from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: Elizabeth A. Santana, 67, of Prospect Street, Struthers, surrendered and was charged after an undisclosed sum of money was discovered missing last month from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Authorities at the Mahoning County jail arrested Ronald L. Easterling, 21, of Halls Heights Avenue, Youngstown, on a theft charge related to a Dec. 5, 2015, shoplifting situation in which two Ohio Lottery scratch-off tickets and a pack of cigarettes were removed from a Shell True North gas station, 950 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Blanca Trinidad, 71, of Hillman Street, Youngstown, was charged in the theft of 11 items from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Theft: An official with Evangel Baptist Church, 5248 Southern Blvd., told police he discovered a $170 suspicious or unauthorized charge to a charitable fund via the church.

Criminal mischief: A man told police that while driving near Overhill Road, a rock was tossed at his car and that he saw two males fleeing the scene.

Theft: A driver for Independent Radio Taxi Inc. in Youngstown told police a woman failed to pay a $22 fare after having been dropped off in the 5000 block of Forest Park Place.

Theft by deception: Jennifer L. Fantone, 36, of Canfield Road, Youngstown, faced a felony theft-by-deception charge after having been accused of selecting three ink cartridges at Walmart, then completing a $193 fraudulent return.

Theft: Police in downtown Youngstown arrested 27-year-old Justin M. Luzier of Hudson Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant. He was accused of leaving the Quench Bar & Grill, 8414 Market St., earlier this month without paying his $73 tab.

Theft/forgery: A Hitchcock Road man alleged his estranged wife had stolen and forged his name on some of his business checks.

Theft: A man reportedly stole two sticks of deodorant and another small item from Family Dollar, 4026 South Ave.

Criminal mischief: An Oak Knoll Drive man told officers a neighbor continually enters his yard and moves various items.

Theft: A woman reportedly took two drinks from Dollar General, 5953 South Ave.

Theft: An administrator for a Boardman-Canfield Road care center discovered two packs of narcotics had been stolen from the facility.

Jan. 16

Arrest: While responding to a report of threats in the 800 block of Cook Avenue, officers charged 20-year-old Jason M. Sop of Cook Avenue, Boardman, with obstructing official business after saying they found Sop hiding in his apartment and that he was uncooperative. Earlier, a neighbor complained that Sop had been continually knocking on his door, a report said.

Assault: A Youngstown woman reported another woman with whom she has ongoing problems tossed a drink on the accuser, pulled her hair and threw her to the ground during a fight at a Boardman-Poland Road restaurant.

Menacing: A Market Street woman said a man sent and made derogatory text messages and comments to her.

Theft: A man in his mid- to late 20s reportedly stole five pairs of shoes from the J.C. Penney store in Southern Park Mall, resulting in a $350 loss.

Theft: A man in a gray hooded sweatshirt reportedly took a $248 sound system from Walmart.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old township boy was charged with domestic violence, criminal damaging and being an unruly juvenile after his guardian alleged the teen threatened to beat her up after having damaged her car.

Jan. 17

Arrest: A traffic stop near U.S. Route 224 and Tiffany Boulevard resulted in the arrest of Robert D. Saunders, 27, who was wanted on a probation-violation warrant from Liberty Township. Saunders, of West LaClede Avenue, Youngstown, also was handed a minor-misdemeanor citation charging him with marijuana possession.

Harassment: A manager with a U.S. Route 224 fast-food restaurant reported having received two such calls.

Theft: A man reportedly stole three pairs of women’s jeans and a jacket from Walmart.

Theft: Two women in their 20s fled in a black Chevrolet Cavalier after reportedly having stolen a microwave oven and other merchandise from Kmart.

Jan. 18

Theft: A South Avenue man noticed $200 missing from his wallet.

Theft: A man reportedly stole a 64-ounce insulated coffee pot and a cup of coffee from a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Menacing: A worker for a Boardman-Canfield Road finance business alleged a co-worker tried to goad him into a fight.

Theft: A woman in her 30s stole several bottles of cologne and perfume from Victoria’s Secret in Southern Park Mall.

Jan. 19

Assault/theft: A Hudson Drive woman alleged her boyfriend choked her during an argument related to food, then took her cellphone.

Theft: A woman reportedly stole a stick of deodorant and an air freshener from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A man reportedly rented a car from Hertz Rent-a-Car in Warren and failed to drop off the vehicle at the Boardman location, 7735 Market St., as per the agreement.

Criminal mischief: Several fluorescent bulbs were broken on the front porch to a residence in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.

Attempted theft: An employee with a Doral Drive big-box store saw that someone had entered his vehicle while he was at work.
