Seman complains about jail treatment to judge
YOUNGSTOWN — Robert Seman told Judge Maureen Sweeney at a pretrial hearing this morning he is unhappy with the way he is being treated this morning in the Mahoning County jail.
Seman, 46, who faces 10 counts of aggravated murder with death penalty specifications for the arson deaths of Corinne Gump, 10, and her grandparents, William and Judith Schmidt, did not get specific about the complaints, but he did say that corrections officers tamper with his legal documents and do not respond to his formal complaints.
Judge Sweeney said she would talk to officials at the jail as soon as the hearing ended.
Seman is to go on trial in September.
