OD suspected in case of woman dropped off at Warren hospital

WARREN — The woman dropped off at ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital early Monday appears to have died as a result of a drug overdose, but it will take a couple months to know for sure, Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk says.

She is identified as Destiny Willis, 34, of Second Street Southwest, was pronounced dead after attempts to revive her failed.

There was no evidence of foul play or trauma, Dr. Germaniuk said. Willis was indicted in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in November on several drug-related charges.

Dr. Germaniuk said Willis is one of four people suspected to have died of a drug overdose in the county in the past three days.
