Activists rally as trial of man accused of shooting dog begins

CAMPBELL — Ten animal welfare activists protested outside the Campbell Municipal Courthouse today before the pretrial for a man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor's dog in October.

Brandon Stores, 29, of Campbell faces charges of animal cruelty and discharging a firearm within city limits.

The case has been set for a second pretrial.
