Discussing ‘Heroin and Our Children’

YOUNGSTOWN

Judge John Durkin of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court and Judge Theresa Dellick of the county’s juvenile court will discuss “Heroin and Our Children” during a Public Square event sponsored by the Buckeye Review and Mount Gilead Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 9 at the church, 2821 Hillman St.

The discussions will feature law-enforcement officials, judges and educators discussing how drug trafficking and arrests affect local neighborhoods, communities and children.

The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will announce the results of its 2015 campaign at a news conference at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Youngstown Community School, 50 Essex St. Representatives from the staff and board of United Way and 2015 campaign chairman Dave Coy will be in attendance.
