The Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District, 850 Industrial Road, will have a sale of locally produced and bagged fresh wild bird seed.

Cost will be $10 for 25 pounds of mixed seed; $16 for 25 pounds of black oil sunflower seed; and $9 for 10 pounds of thistle seed. Call MSWCD at 330-740-7995 to place an order. Bags can be picked up from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays – at the district headquarters.

Water for Flint

Bottled water for Flint, Mich., can be dropped off in Youngstown at Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; and 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until Feb. 10.

Bottled water for Flint can also be dropped off at the YWCA of Warren from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until Feb. 10. Water can be in 16-ounce or gallon bottles. The Warren Y also is asking for baby wipes and hand sanitizers for Flint. Monetary gift checks can be made payable to the YWCA of Warren.
