The Youngstown Alumnae Panhellenic Association (YAPA) had its third meeting of the year at the Boardman library for an exercise demonstration led by YAPA member, Melanie Angiuli (Youngstown), who showed members various levels of exercise from low impact to high impact.

YAPA members also participated in two philanthropic events in honor of National Philanthropy Month. YAPA members helped complete two no-sew blankets for Making Kids Count, which serves foster children in the surrounding counties. The second philanthropy event members purchased sunflower petals to honor a sister, friend or a member. All donations from the sunflower petal initiative support our scholarship endowment fund.

YAPA welcomed two new members: Jennifer Phillips of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity and Jennifer Rinehart of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. New members were presented with a certificate of membership and a rose. YAPA’s December meeting is a holiday luncheon on Dec. 3 at Johnny’s with a flute program by YAPA member Kimberly Russell.
