Berlin Ellsworth Ruritan parties and installs new officers

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Berlin Ellsworth Ruritan gathered Dec. 12 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield for its annual Christmas party and installed officers for 2017. Officers will be John Bates, president; J.D. Klinesmith, vice president; Dwain VanAuker, secretary; James Gatto, sergeant at arms; and Denny Furman, treasurer. The board of directors will include Joe Capasso, Walt Overly and Bill Porterfield. Members receiving merit awards for perfect attendance were Van Auker, 31 years; Kenny Bennett, 25; Bates, 20; Jeff Craig, 14; Furman, 11; Fred Mayorga, six; Capasso, five; Overly and Lee Fowler, four; Klinesmith, two; and Gatto, one.
