Monthly rodeos set at arena

FREDONIA, PA.

Dave Martin’s Bullride Mania Rodeos will take place the first Saturday of every month from January through May at Sundance Arena’s heated indoor arena.

There also will be a rodeo on the third Saturday in January, February and March, and special edition rodeos are set for Feb. 11 and 25.

The arena is at 310 Fredonia Road.

Events include bull riding, where the mounted rider attempts to stay on the bull as the bull tries to buck him off; bronc riding, which is the same except on a horse; girls break-away roping, in which the rider tries to lasso a running calf; and Lil’ Buckaroo Rodeo.

For all show dates, the doors open at 5:30 p.m., and show time is at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $14 ($7 for children 12 years and under). Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance, which includes a $2 per ticket discount, at Rick’s Ranch Wear, 7336 Market St., Boardman; Hermitage Agway, 4065 E. State St., Hermitage, Pa.; and Tractor Supply, 3800 Elm Road NE, Warren.
