Southern Park Mall recently named Brian Gabbert as its new mall manager.

Gabbert is responsible for operations, leasing, business development, tenant relations and marketing.

Most recently, Gabbert served as the general manager for Cary Town Center in Cary, N.C.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleary University in Howell, Mich.

ASSOCIATED

L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home Inc. recently announced its association with Shaiyla B. Hakeem of Youngstown, an Ohio licensed funeral director/embalmer.

Hakeem is a certified crematory operator. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University, National University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Mike Goschinski, owner and president of Fin Feather Fur Outfitters, an Ohio owned and operated outdoor hunting and sporting store, announced the appointment of Tom Krebs and Rees Vail to vice presidents of operations.

Krebs, the first employee to be hired by Goschinski, has been with the company for 30 years. He previously was responsible for the Ashland location and distribution center.

Vail, employed by the company for more than 15 years, oversaw the opening of the Middleburg Heights, Canton, Boardman and Milan stores and the hiring and training of more than 120 employees.

Dominion has been listed by Forbes magazine and partner Just Capital as one of the “Just 100” – the best corporate citizens in the U.S. in 2016. Forbes and Just Capital, a nonprofit founded by Paul Tudor Jones, surveyed 50,000 Americans regarding what they perceived as the most important corporate traits.

The researches distilled those responses to 36 components constituting 10 metrics by which companies from the Russell 1000 were judged – worker treatment, worker pay and benefits, customer treatment, leadership and ethics, environmental impact, supply-chain impact, domestic job creation, community well-being, investor alignment and product attributes.

Dominion was one of three investor-owned utilities and one of six Virginia-based companies listed among this year’s “Just 100.”
