Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will continue offer genealogical search assistance service, “Family Tree Stumped” from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 4, in the Ohio Room. Patrons may take their own devices or work at a public computer to investigate. Call the library at 330-332-0042 for questions.

Join library staff member David Roberts in the Quaker Meeting Room at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 5. He will introduce basic skills for using Facebook including creating a profile, adding friends, and communicating with others. How to post statuses and share photos and videos also will be addressed. Register online at www.salem.lib.oh.us, call the library or stop in.

Adult attendees will use leftover craft materials from previous Gettin’ Crafty classes to make a project from the craft cupboard to make room for new craft supplies. It will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Quaker Room. Registration is required by visiting the website or by calling. All materials will be provided. Gettin’ Crafty classes take place the second Monday of each month, and are open to the public and free.

The first Wellness Wednesday program will be “Music as Healing” from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in the Quaker Room. Kira Seaton, assistant professor of music at Cuyahoga Community College, is the presenter. The program is open to the public and free. For information call or email the library.
