Panera delivery
Warren
Warren-based Covelli Enterprises, the largest franchisee of Panera Bread, has launched small-order delivery at all of their Panera Bread cafes in the Mahoning Valley and Hermitage, Pa.
The company launched this new service at its Panera Bread cafe at 3641 Elm Road NE in Warren three weeks ago and since has brought this new service to each bakery cafe in the Valley.
Panera delivery offers customers the ability to place a single order online or on their phone and have it delivered directly to them as long as they are within a designated 8-minute delivery radius from the cafe.
Delivery requires a minimum order of $5 only with the addition of a $3 delivery charge. All delivery orders are placed online (credit card only) using the Panera Bread app or at panerabread.com. Hours of delivery service are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Northeast Ohio Medical University announced additional private support of $500,000 from Dr. Chander and Mrs. Karen Kohli. The Youngstown couple’s generosity builds on their original gift of $500,000, named as the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic Technology Endowment. The $1 million total gift from the Kohlis helps advance NEOMED’s students and keeps the university’s academic technology department innovative in its delivery of online course material.
$1 million grant
HARRISBURG, PA.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf recently announced a $1 million grant to Novolipetsk Steel for rail improvements at its Farrell, Pa., steel plant that will help the operation remain competitive and preserve more than 700 family-sustaining jobs.
The grant will allow rehabilitation of 8,300 feet of track, cross ties and ballast and improve grade crossings in its 13-mile rail network at the Mercer County plant. The company also will replace locomotives and install additional loading docks and modify some docks.
The grant application was submitted by Penn Northwest Development Corp.
Building sale
FRANKLIN, TENN.
Community Health Systems Inc. announced Thursday that subsidiaries of the company have completed the sale and lease back of 10 medical office buildings for $163 million to HCP Inc.
The buildings, with a combined total of 756,183 square feet, are located in five states and support a wide array of diagnostic, medical and surgical services in an outpatient setting for their respective hospitals.
The transaction is one of those discussed on the company’s third quarter earnings call. The company will apply net proceeds to pay down debt.
CHS operates ValleyCare Northside Medical Center in Youngstown, ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, ValleyCare Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland and Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, Pa.
