The Learning Station’s Don Monopoli was welcomed by families at the Poland library on Nov. 26 for a festive performance called “A Children’s Holiday Journey.”
The Learning Station has been traveling to various places to put on performances for families for more than 25 years. Families at the Poland library got a special holiday treat from Monopoli as he sang songs celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.
Monopoli took the stage and sang holiday songs as he got the audience to participate with him. He would give instructions to different dance moves which allowed the audience to follow along.
After warming up with a few songs, Monopoli brought up a handful of children to join the stage with him. The children were not the only ones who had the opportunity to get on stage with Monopoli. Mothers and fathers each had a turn to get on stage and sing along with Monopoli.
The hour-long presentation got families in the holiday spirit. Mothers, fathers and other family members had the opportunity to spend time with their children and celebrate the different holidays.
