Housing sales report mixed

Housing sales were mixed across the Mahoning Valley in November.

Closed sales in Mahoning County dropped 3 percent to 191 from 197 in 2015, according to the Youngstown/Columbiana County Association of Realtors. Pending sales went up to 25.4 percent to 252 from 201 reported in November 2015.

New listings in the county dropped 27.9 percent and the inventory of homes for sale dropped 39.2 percent.

During the month, the average sales price increased 18.6 percent to $117,275.

Closed sales in Columbiana County went up 9.6 percent to 80 in November 2016 from 73 reported in November 2015, according to the Youngstown/Columbiana County Association of Realtors.

Pending sales were up 39.4 percent to 92 compared with 66 last November.

New listings in the county dropped 18.9 percent and inventory of homes for sale dropped 25.2 percent.

During the month, the average sales price was $103,451, up 4.4 percent, from $99,110 reported in November 2015.

Closed sales in Trumbull County increased 15 percent year over year in November to 185 from 172 reported in November 2015, according to the Warren Area Board of Realtors. Pending sales were up 12.8 percent to 159 compared with 141 reported in November 2015.

New listings in the county increased 7.6 percent and the inventory of homes for sale decreased 17.2 percent.

During the month, the average sales price was $93,141, up 7.2 percent from last year.
