Austintown police make another prostitution arrest

AUSTINTOWN

A Youngstown woman faces prostitution-related charges after police said she solicited sex to an undercover township police officer.

Tashayla Glenn, 22, of Selma Avenue is charged with soliciting and possessing criminal tools, both misdemeanors.

Officers conducting an investigation into advertisements on a classifieds website responded to an ad for Glenn’s services Wednesday, according to a police report.

Glenn, going by the name “Bree,” told an officer that her price was $60 for “car play,” and that “car play” included “everything.”

The two arranged to meet at a Cerni Place hotel, where Glenn was taken into custody. The criminal-tools charge refers to a cellphone Glenn used to arrange sex for hire.

According to the report, Glenn told police she meets with approximately three clients per day, oftentimes in Austintown. Police found 479 postings from the last year under Glenn’s information on the website.

She is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here Monday for arraignment.

Township police earlier this week arrested a man on the same charges in a sting operation. Last month, a sting operation also netted an arrest for soliciting and possessing criminal tools.
