Middle school art winners named

Brookfield Middle School students in Linda Bain’s art classes entered works in several local art contests. The students who entered were asked to create designs for various companies, including Mr. D’s Foods and the Warren Philharmonic.

The winners are Mark Randall, sixth grade, first place for the Sharon Herald “Design an Ad” contest for Mr. D’s Foods, he won a $100 gift card; Brian Smith, fifth-grader, won second place in the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra contest; and Jia li Dugan and Izy Foust, sixth-graders, and Alyson Ruschak, fifth-grader, tied for third place in the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra “Art in Music” contest.

The art work from the contest will be on display at OH WOW, the Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, downtown Youngstown.
