Share the Love at Boardman Subaru

Boardman Subaru’s annual Share the Love event is underway. The dealership donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased through Jan. 3 to the customer’s choice from among these charities: Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation. Subaru will support Akron Children’s Hospital.

Cindy’s Health and Vitality closes

Cindy’s Health and Vitality Center, 56 Youngstown-Warren Road, has closed, according to its Facebook page.

The Facebook post reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce Cindy’s Health and Vitality has officially closed. Thank you for your faithful patronage to our store and for allowing us to be a part of your lives and the community for the past 20 years. We will miss each and every one of our customers.”

The post was made on Nov. 30.

The business could not be reached for further comment.

Ribbon-cutting

Oil, gas production

During the third quarter of 2016, Ohio’s horizontal shale wells produced 3,954,095 barrels of oil and 360 billion cubic feet of natural gas, according to the figures released by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Natural-gas production from the third quarter of 2016 showed an increase over the third quarter of 2015, while oil production was reduced for that same period.

The ODNR quarterly report lists 1,492 horizontal shale wells, 1,464 of which reported oil and natural-gas production during the quarter. Of the 1,464 reporting oil and natural gas results, the average amount of oil produced was 2,701 barrels; the average amount of natural gas produced was 246,367 million cubic feet; and the average number of third quarter days in production was 85.
