MCCTC’s Floral Shop & Greenhouse Open House

When: Through Friday, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What: Silk wreaths and table arrangements are available, as well as fresh wreaths with mixed holiday greens and fresh pine centerpieces (pre-made or special orders) and poinsettias.

One Man’s Dream: 125 Years of Mill Creek

When: Through Dec. 31; Tuesday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

What: Take a trip back as you rediscover Mill Creek Park. Stroll inside the Davis Center to see your favorite iconic park structures, the annual holiday tree walk, a student-led Chihuly-inspired display and seasonal blooms. The first three Saturdays and Sundays, we are open until 8 for you to experience the thousands of twinkling lights in the Electric Garden. Plus, find that perfect gift at the Shop in the Gardens and savor refreshments available for purchase in the Garden Cafe.

Fragrant Fridays: Sacred Oils

When: Friday, 10–11:30 a.m.

What: Fragrant Fridays offer a space to learn about essential oils with Marina Perdos. December brings a focus on the power of supportive essential oils for purification, prayer or meditation. Bring a writing utensil and journal/paper to take notes.

Botanical Ceramic Art Workshop

When: Saturday, 10–11:30 a.m.

What: In this two-part series, you will use inspiration from botanical designs and ceramic artists with Dan Dinsio. The finished piece will be four 4- by 5-inch ceramic tiles hung together to create an amazing work of art. The first session will focus on designing and sculpting the clay. In the second session, you will paint the kiln-fired tiles with a glossy acrylic paint to make an eye-popping work of art.

HOLIDAY Soap Crafting

When: Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m.

What: Barbara Lyons will teach you how to make elegant handcrafted lip balms, body butters and whips, dusting powders, solid perfumes and glycerin soaps to gift and pamper those on your Christmas list.

Where: 16146 Daniel St. NE, Minerva.

Cost: $10 for materials

Details: Participants will receive samples of all the products, and a bar of soap.
