A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard and Girard:

HUBBARD

Nov. 24

Harassment: A woman who owns a piece of rental property in the 200 block of Hager Street reported a former tenant posted derogatory comments about her on Facebook.

Nov. 25

Recovered property: Warren police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of the driver of a 2002 Pontiac that a West Liberty Street man had reported stolen.

Theft: A student reported $50 missing while at Hubbard High School.

Identity theft: A Redwood Drive woman learned that five checks she had thrown away while cleaning a family member’s home later were written without authorization for a total of $1,160.

Nov. 26

Bad check: A North Main Street man told police a couple had sent him a $355 check that was returned for insufficient funds.

Trespassing: Officers responded to a complaint about an unwanted person at a state Route 304 gas station, where they charged 54-year-old Harold D. Lowe with criminal trespassing. A clerk told police that Lowe, of Borden Street, Youngstown, was at the business, despite having been told he wasn’t allowed on the property.

GIRARD

Nov. 24

Menacing: A worker for a Church Hill Road discount store told authorities a woman customer threatened to damage the store after having become angered about the business’s return policy regarding tobacco products.

Menacing: A charge was pending against a man, no information given, after an employee with Girard Municipal Court, 100 N. Market St., said he had made an implied threat toward the accuser about a personal matter between them.

Nov. 25

Theft: A Lawrence Avenue man reported a 50-inch TV valued at $225 stolen from his vehicle.

Citation: Officers received multiple calls pertaining to a possibly intoxicated person near Church Hill and Shannon roads before they issued 47-year-old Donald F. Rapp Jr. of East Main Street, Girard, a minor-misdemeanor citation charging him with disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Nov. 26

Assault: While responding to an altercation on Gordon Street, authorities charged 29-year-old Mathew A. Schall with simple assault after a woman alleged the Berea man had grabbed and twisted her wrist during an argument, then pinned the accuser against her car and choked her.

Harassment: A Maple Avenue woman said her teenage daughter received unwanted text and other messages, including a threat saying the girl would be shot.

Theft: An Illinois Avenue man realized someone had entered his vehicle and removed about $100 in change.

Vandalism: Several juveniles reportedly destroyed two drinking fountains at Girard Arrowhead Stadium, 200 S. Highland Ave., resulting in $1,000 worth of damage.

Recovered property: A wallet containing two credit cards was found at a U.S. Route 422 gas station.

Nov. 27

Trespassing: A woman told police three or four males looked through several windows to her Shannon Road home before she allowed them in to use her phone. A short time later, one of the males reportedly returned and was seen in her side yard looking through her windows, she also reported.

Arrests: While investigating suspicious activity in the 900 block of Shannon Road, officers took into custody three Girard boys, no ages listed, on charges of criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. While being questioned, the three admitted having tossed a dumbbell weight at and breaking a drinking fountain at Girard Arrowhead Stadium, a report stated.

Nov. 28

Criminal mischief: A West Liberty Street man found two small dents in his rental car’s passenger-side door. Damage came to about $150.

Harassment: A Lincoln Avenue man said his former wife has made unwanted, threatening calls to him.

Nov. 29

Arrest: Police took 41-year-old Ronald Morrow Jr. into custody at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Morrow, of East Wilson Avenue, Girard, was wanted on a warrant charging him with a fourth-degree felony count of domestic violence.

Nov. 30

Theft: A man reported about $750 worth of over-the-counter medications stolen from his residence in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.
