West Branch students write children’s books
SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Eight students from West Branch High School in Kerry Varble’s creative writing class, wrote and illustrated children’s books. When completed, they read the books to preschool classes at West Branch Middle School. Topics included dinosaurs playing baseball (team work), the joy and challenges of being 6 years old, a turtle who is bullied by alligators, making friends with the monster under the bed and an adaptation of “Beowulf.” From left are Michael Minich, Landon Burns, Willow Daley, Tiffany O’Brien, Addison Biggs, Carla Grizer and Kristina Pazzelli.
