Background: Rejoicing Spirits began in 2003 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Exton, Pa., when a group of volunteers and staff gathered around a shared vision of an adaptive worship service to provide people with disabilities an opportunity to worship in a “shush-free” environment. The volunteer team assembled a how-to book. Rejoicing Spirits is part of Mosaic, a national faith-based service provider. Ministry partners and congregations help ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to explore and express their faith in an inclusive worship community.
