An Advent tradition

Celebrate the Christmas season by joining the Sisters of the Humility of Mary for the nativity display, an indoor Advent tradition.

When: Noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 11 with complimentary refreshments.

Where: Villa Maria Community Center, Evergreen Road, Villa Maria, Pa. Villa Maria is located off U.S. Route 422 near the Ohio-Pennsylvania line. Admission and parking are free.

Entertainment: Sunday entertainment in the Magnificat Chapel will be: 1 p.m., St. Camillus Choir; and 1:30 p.m., flute quartet. Also, in the conference center, noon, Humility of Mary violinists; 1 p.m., harpist Kathy Banks; 2:45 p.m., Betty and Vinnie on flute and piano; 3:30 p.m., flautists Sister Sharon Cahill and Melinda Smith; 4 p.m., guitarist Sister Maryann Golonka. Dec. 11 entertainment in the chapel will be: 1:30 p.m., Christ the King Choir; 2 p.m., Sts. Peter and Paul Choir; and 2:30 p.m., St. James Choir. And in the center, noon, guitarist Pietro Pascale; 1 p.m., Humility of Mary violinists; 2:15 p.m., guitarist Sister Maryann; and 3 p.m., harpist Banks.

And more: The Villa Farm will sell fresh poinsettias, swags and wreaths and The Villa Shoppe will offer fair trade items, nativities and Christmas gifts.

Dinners: A roast-beef dinner is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $12 for a large and $6 for a small. A spaghetti dinner will be noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 11. Cost is $8 for a large and $5 for a small. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Take-out is available, and all children 7 and younger are free.
