New date for Trumbull hearings
WARREN
The Trumbull County commissioners have set a different day to have budget hearings a second time than the one they initially announced.
The hearings will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 12 and continue every 15 minutes until 2:45 p.m.
The commissioners are having the hearings again after failing to notify the public and news media before the first hearings, held Nov. 21 and 22.
Trumbull County Prosecutor Dennis Watkins advised the commissioners that having the hearings a second time was necessary because it is likely a judge would invalidate any decisions arising from the hearings if legal action were to be filed.
