Studdard in show at Powers

“The Bold and the Sanctified,” an inspirational musical drama starring “American Idol” champ Ruben Studdard, will come to Powers Auditorium on Jan. 14 for a 6 p.m. performance.

The show takes a no-holds-barred look at what happens when a small black church and a small white church are financially obligated to combine congregations. The Youngstown show is in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and falls on his namesake holiday weekend.
