Threatened by tenant
WARREN
Nikita G. Pantelis, 18, of Cranberry Lane Northeast, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Warren Municipal Court to two counts of misdemeanor menacing after police said he pointed a gun at two workers removing the siding from an apartment building Wednesday.
One of the workers said he was on scaffolding on the third floor at 10 a.m. when Pantelis opened his apartment window and yelled at him and his co-worker to stop making noise. Then he slammed the window down.
The worker said he told Pantelis to call the office if he had a complaint. About 10 minutes later, Pantelis opened the window again, this time with a gun in his hand and waved it back and forth at the workers, the worker said.
Pantelis slammed the window down again, and the workers got down from the scaffolding.
Pantelis admitted holding the gun but denied pointing it at the workers, police said. Pantelis was released from the county jail after posting $2,500 bond.
