Klacik Real Estate recently announced that Shawna Purnell has joined the company as a real estate agent.
Michael D. Klacik, broker for Klacik Real Estate, said, “Shawna will be a great real estate agent because of her sales background and her vibrant personality. She will be a true asset to our company.”
Purnell said she decided to join Klacik Real Estate because she likes the family atmosphere and the opportunity to train directly with the broker.
A longtime Mahoning Valley resident, Purnell graduated from Boardman High School and then went on to attend Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa.
In 2002, she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration from The University of Akron, which is ranked as one of the best undergraduate business schools in the nation by both Business Week and U.S. News and World Report. Her other academic achievements include graduate school at John Carroll University and Ohio Real Estate Salesperson licensure courses at Youngstown State University.
Purnell is currently employed full time at The Vindicator as their Real Estate Specialist, handling advertising for real estate agencies, builders and their affiliates. Previously, she was Director of Real Estate at DRB Properties, a local property management company, where she managed 50 residential, commercial and industrial properties.
In addition, Purnell worked in commercial real estate, leasing at Kimco Realty Corporation, a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in shopping centers and as a Resident Manager for Simco Management Corporation.
Purnell currently resides in Columbiana County with her two children, Dominic and Juliana.
