Man indicted in March 20 homicide

The Mahoning County grand jury indicted a 24-year-old Clarencedale Avenue man on a murder charge in the March 20 shooting death of Marquise Shelton.

Jermaill Holloway was also indicted Thursday on a charge of improper discharge of a firearm at or into a habitation and eight counts of felonious assault with firearm specifications.

Each felonious assault count named a different victim.

Shelton, 23, was fatally shot inside an Idora Avenue home on the South Side after he and Holloway argued over the results of a video game, police said.

Holloway fired several shots at the home after he was asked to leave, an assistant city prosecutor said.

A woman was wounded in the shoulder during the same shooting.

U.S. marshals arrested Holloway on Nov. 4 at a South Avenue home in Boardman.

Joseph Lumsden, 31, of North Maryland Avenue, felonious assault and intimidation.

David Black, 57, of Ohltown Road, operating a vehicle impaired.

Fred Lewis III, 20, of West Glenaven Avenue, felonious assault.

David Zadai, 29, of Pierce Road, Warren, theft.

Raymond Brooks, 28, of Brookline Avenue, illegal gun possession and improperly handling a gun in a motor vehicle.

Christopher Hyler, 28, of Depot Road, Salem, kidnapping, felonious assault, retaliation, assault and vandalism.

Jaquan Rozier, 20, of Webster Avenue, failure to comply with a police order and domestic violence.

Marquis Torres, 18, of Hilton Avenue, and Shawn Woodall, 18, of Pasadena Avenue, receiving stolen property.

Daylyn Montrell Blair, 20, of Columbus, improperly handling a gun in a motor vehicle.

Timothy McConnell, 58, of Erie Street, burglary with a repeat violent-offender specification.

Dana L. Brown, 29, of Woodford Avenue, illegal gun possession.

Devan Campbell, 22, of Louisville, Ohio, receiving stolen property, aggravated theft, failure to comply with a police order, trespass in habitation and operating a vehicle impaired.

Jocque Ballard, 38, of Canton, aggravated robbery and robbery with firearm and repeated violent offender specifications and illegal gun possession.

Alexandria Wunderlich, 25, of East Jackson Street, Lowellville, and Michael Albrecht III, 25, Kennedy Road, Lowellville, heroin and cocaine possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

John F. Steele, 70, of Terraview Drive, Boardman, disrupting public services and domestic violence.

Andre Haynes, 25, of Larchmont Avenue, Northeast, Warren, aggravated drug possession.
