Liberty's Damon Hodges shows the heart of a champion


The heart of a champion comes in many shapes, forms and sizes. It can be found it in the classroom, at work, on the political front and at a multitude of locations. You can also find it in a variety of capacities.

It is on display at Liberty High School, where junior Damon Hodges is a member of the Leopards football team. What sets Hodges apart is that he goes through life with two prosthetic legs, amputated below the knee at age two after being born with no ankles and club feet.
