FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will serve homemade dinners to go. Starting at 3:30 p.m. until the drive-thru runs out, baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans will sell for $7. Drive to the front of the church, and someone will bring your dinners to go. There Is no need to preorder or get out of the car.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

VFW Donald Lockett Post 6488 Ladies Auxiliary will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at the post, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown. The menu includes meatballs, bread, salad and dessert for $10 per person. Eat in or carryout. For information call 330-746-8259.

SUNDAY

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 US Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple syrup or blueberries, scrambled eggs, eggs with peppers onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk will be available. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Society of St. Lucy, is sponsoring a homemade spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Palermo Banquet Center, 404 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Takeout will be available. All are welcome. For information call Carmel Opencar at 330-755-2828.

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will host a cavatelli dinner Sept. 7 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. It includes homemade sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and dessert for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and 1 meatball will be $5. Homemade pasta fagioli will be sold for $6 per quart and homemade pasta sauce will be $5 per quart. Take out only. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

Holy Name Society of Christ The Good Shepherd Parish, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, is having a drive-thru chicken dinner Sept. 25. Tickets are $10 each for a half chicken, potato, vegetable and dessert and may be purchased after weekend Masses beginning Saturday or by calling 330 718-2778 or 330-261-8838. Pick up will be at the Porter Avenue circle from noon to 3 p.m.
