Woman gets probation in stabbing over chicken wings

YOUNGSTOWN — The woman who pleaded guilty to stabbing a man she kicked out of her home but came back for his chicken wings was sentenced today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to two years probation.

Judge Lou D'Apolito handed down the sentence after the man Cynthia Bland, 60, asked the judge to give her probation, saying he believes she has been punished enough.

Bland is accused of stabbing the man after she told him to leave after he refused to get her more alcohol. The man left, but came back to get some chicken wings he had left behind.

Prosecutors had recommended probation. She pleaded guilty to a charge of felonious assault.
