AUCTIONS

Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road, will be the location of a quarter auction benefit for the Urban and Shelley Meyer Fund for cancer research on Sept. 15. Autographed Ohio State sports memorabilia will be among various prizes offered at the “Buckeyes Blast Cancer” event. It also will benefit Camp Quality Ohio, which provides a summer camping experience and year-round support for children with cancer. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6. Tickets are $5 and include a soft drink, snack, a bidding paddle and a door prize ticket. There will be more than 100 prizes, gift baskets, and door prizes. Pizza slices will cost $1. Items to be raffled include general gifts and many OSU autographed prizes, signed by more than 20 players and coaches. CRAFT SHOWS

Grace Chapel Community Church, 4075 Lamor Road, Hermitage, Pa., will host a Crafts-4-A-Cause craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, is sponsoring a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17. Crafters are being sought. Our Lady of the Lakes Ladies Guild will host a craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 5 at Our Lady of the Lakes Family Center, 1254 Grandview Road, Lake Milton. Admission and parking are free. RAFFLES

Austintown Alumni Association is offering a raffle to raise money for its scholarship fund. Tickets will be sold for $1 each or six for $5. Raffle winners will be chosen at the Austintown Fitch Hall of Fame football game at Falcon Stadium on Sept. 16. First prize is $500; second, $200 in gift certificates from local businesses; and third, a dinner for two at Rachel’s Restaurant and at The Manor. Profits will support the association’s scholarship fund, which awarded $6,000 to Fitch seniors Class of 2016. Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2 will host a Junk in the Trunk Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at Austintown Senior Center, 110 Westchester Drive. The rain date will be Sept. 24. Vendors spaces are available for $10 per parking space; payment must be received byThursday. Vendors cannot sell hot food, soft drinks or offer raffles. Jesus the Key Ministries and Men of Faith, the producers of Men’s Rally in the Valley, will host a bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., Dec. 6 and 7. The trip will include “Samson,” a Christmas concert at American Music Theatre and a meal at the dinner theater, the Dutch Apple. This trip also will provide time for sightseeing and shopping.
