US Route 62 between South and Himrod avenues closed Tuesday night

YOUNGSTOWN — Between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday, U.S. Route 62 between South and Himrod avenues will be closed for a concrete bridge-deck pour. A detour will be posted, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

Two ramps will remain closed for bridge repairs through late September: The ramp from South Avenue to Route 62 eastbound; and the ramp from Route 62 eastbound to Himrod Avenue.

This work is part of a $17 million project to make repairs to the Route 62 bridge over the Mahoning River, Poland Avenue, Cedar Street, and the railroad. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by November.
