Suspect apprehended in W. Va. in shooting today of Niles woman

A Niles man suspected of shooting his female companion early today was apprehended at about 5 p.m. in the Fairmont/Marion counties area by West Virginia State Police and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
Niles police said Douglas Enlow, 53, of Battles Avenue, was arrested when his license plate number, broadcast by city police, was picked up by a license-plate reader on Interstate 79 in West Virginia.
Enlow is accused of shooting his female companion several times at about 3 a.m. in the home they share in the 600 block of Battles. The victim, whose name police have not released, was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where she has undergone surgery, according to police.
