UW of Lawrence County to paint Cascade Pool bathhouse

NEW CASTLE, PA.

Cascade Park Swimming Pool Renovation Project is scheduled to receive a fresh coat of paint on the Cascade Pool Bathhouse on Sept. 8 as part of the United Way of Lawrence County Day of Caring Program.

The day starts with breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Cascade Park Pavilion. Painting supplies, lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The paint project is being organized by the UW of Lawrence County and is funded in part by a grant provided by Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful, Behr and Home Depot through Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s Fresh Paint Days Pennsylvania Program.

United Way of Lawrence County was one of eight projects chosen from the 60 projects submitted for consideration of this grant.

The program is designed to provide community groups with paint and painting supplies enabling them to renew a community structure in need.

Volunteer help is needed. Interested parties should register with UW of Lawrence County at 724-658-8528 or uwlawcty@comcast.net before the event.
