‘Laws of Leadership IV’ at The Embassy

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s “Laws of Leadership IV” will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 21 at The Embassy, 5030 Youngstown-Poland Road.

The event focuses on John C. Maxwell’s “21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership,” a best-selling book that combines insights learned from his 40-plus years of leadership successes and mistakes with observations from the worlds of business, politics, sports, religion and the military. Local leaders will focus on one law and share personal stories that teach the principles of that law.

Series IV speakers are: Tom Humphries, president and CEO, regional chamber; Diane Sauer, president, Diane Sauer Chevrolet Inc.; and the Rev. Dr. Lewis Macklin II, Lead Pastor, Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.

The event costs $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

‘Ergonomic Process’ program Sept. 14

HOWLAND

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a program on “Effective Ergonomic Process for the office” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at Leo’s Ristorante, 7042 E. Market St.

Implementing an ergonomic process is effective in reducing the risk of developing injuries in high-risk industries as diverse as construction, food processing, firefighting, office jobs, health care, transportation and warehousing. Join Sue Davis and Jodi Lombardo, directors of employee safety at the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, as they review the important elements of an ergonomic process.

Power Manufacturing Assembly event

The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network, MAGNET, and the Cleveland Engineering Society will present: Crain’s [M] Power Manufacturing Assembly from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19.

The event will take place at the John S. Knight Center, 77 E. Mill St. Crain’s Cleveland Business will host the event.

The event will focus on creating a culture of excellence across all levels of an organization. Concurrent track sessions will focus on issues relevant to every aspect of an operation – from human resources and operations to marketing.
